Design = function
A recent, inner-city project required an external support structure. The challenge was to build a solution that delivered the required support while presenting a visually pleasing front on all sides of the site. Combining a sequence of squares while having minimal variance in the materials used resulted in a structure that presented itself as well-designed while also providing the necessary support.
